To God Be the Glory

To God Be the Glory is our theme for 2009. God truly got the glory this past Sunday as we met in our building for the first time! The week started with a not so great report of us getting in. Town's people were out of town and unable to sign off of many of the items in order to get the CO. Things looked grim, but we were praying. We worked as if we would get in, but figured it would be the following week. By Friday, Pastor got a call to come pick up our CO! We knew our day would be "low" in attendance because of the short notice of actually meeting in the new building. To our surprise we had 6 visitors and a big day of 130! The spirit was great and people were blessed and relieved to finally be "home"!

We had a great day working together on the gym floor. Only a few touch ups and we should be ready to get the CO! Prayfully this will take place on Fri. Feb. 6th

...and still winding down

We have carpet! A wonderful gentleman named Drew came all the way from MI to lay our carpet. He is doing a fabulous job and loves every minute of using his skill to serve the Lord and others. What a blessing. The gym floor will arrive tomorrow. We also will be installing the lights outside as soon as it stops snowing here in CT! We are still plugging along. This will soon come to an end. The Lord knows when and what He is doing!

Winding Down

The little things are piling up and seem overwhelming at times but I think we see the light at the end of the tunnel! Here are some pictures of the pavement being poured. We hoped and prayed we would make it into our lovely building by Christmas. God had other plans to help us stay focused on His birth this year.

A faithful Christian man will be arriving on Tuesday from MI to install all our carpet!

We can't thank you enough for your prayers during our building project.

Praise the Lord for plumbing! We still have a lot more to do, but the BIG stuff is done!

Things are moving fast!!

It is so exciting to see the transformation. Each day something is added! We now have tile in all the bathrooms and foyer. The father of one of our members came to help us all the way from TX. We have learned that God gives the best when it comes to His house. This man does the tile for Sax Fifth Ave's! The ladies have almost completed the murals in the nurseries. The painting is done everywhere except the balcony. The carpet will be here the 2nd week in Dec. Keep praying for us!
